This new game brings the gameplay of the 1999 Pokémon Snap game for the Nintendo 64TM system to life on the Nintendo Switch system, with new islands to explore and new Pokémon to encounter!
As you research and explore unknown islands, photograph lively wild Pokémon in their natural habitats. Travel through a variety of environments such as beaches, jungles, and deserts in your trusty travel pod, the NEO-ONE, to capture previously unseen Pokémon behaviours. To attract Pokémon’s attention, you can even play a melody or toss them a delicious fluffruit. You can use the photos you take to create your own Pokémon Photodex!
Your photos are graded based on the Pokémon’s poses, size, and how directly they face you, among other factors. If you catch rare Pokémon behaviours, you might even get a four-star photo. These scores can be shared through in-game rankings*, allowing you to compare your shots to those of other Pokémon photographers from around the world.
Pokémon and vegetation have been seen to glow in the Lental region on occasion. Meet Professor Mirror and collaborate with him to solve the puzzle of the Illumina phenomenon. Your photos and observations could be crucial in learning more about this strange occurrence.
